Cylonix's goal is to create an open source public blockchain that is hyper scalable to handle massive number of free transactions per second, to enable value exchanges and easy to build business applications for autonomous IoT devices.
Cylonix introduces application-based sharding, which generates a separate shard for each decentralized application, dApp. A shard is the basic unit of Cylonix scheduling by the underlying blockchain

For example, Cylonix introduces the design of message-as-a-transaction to completely get rid of centralized messaging platform, making it possible to exchange payments and information between devices in the same transaction.
Cylonix integrates trusted computing to ensure the security and privacy of data through private contracts. For IoT devices with limited resources, Cylonix introduces design to support super thin nodes, adjusts encryption and signature algorithm to run effectively on the resource constrained IoT devices. Anonymous and high-throughput semi-anonymous messaging are also designed-in.
